I just ran this quick video to share some enthusiasm for the quickly growing area of online video. The more I work with it the more into it I get!

The real trick though is to really work to give your audience a reason to watch. Don't just pitch them. Really deliver something that people will find valuable. If you just pitch all the time then people will see that's all you're about and stop watching your videos and reading your content.

Video marketing is becoming the new article marketing, and if you use it properly you can continue to build strong relationships with even more people in your network marketing business.

Do you remember when you first started your blog? Remember how excited you were, and how easy it was to write posts? Well, after a few dozen blog posts it seems like you have talked about everything sometimes, doesn't it?

A few weeks ago I picked up an idea from one of the Internet marketing "gurus" about how to quickly create content for your blog. I really like it because it helps leverage technology, which I'm always a big fan of. The technology is voice recognition software.

How This Works for You

Most people can talk more prolifically than they can write, and in fact I'm dictating this to my computer right now!

At first, I was a bit hesitant about trying out this technology. My previous experience with voice recognition software had not been real positive. But now, I have taken some time to learn how this works and have put it to great use.

One of the easy ways to do it, is to find an article that you like and paraphrase the ideas in your own voice. It will work best if you include your own thoughts on the subject, which should come naturally anyway. This way you can crank out a blog post in about 15 minutes and it's all good, relevant, unique content for your blog.

And you don't have to worry about correcting spelling mistakes.

What's not to like about that?

Also, once you start using it you will begin to see other areas in which the dictation software will be very useful. For example you can create your own articles for publication on your website or in article directories that will have your own unique voice. For most people, it's easier to speak in a conversational tone that is to write in one. It's a conversational tone which helps you connect with your readers.

The Real Benefit

Using dictation sofware removes one more barrier to generating good, unique content written in your own voice for your blog or other article submissions. It decreses the amount of time you need to spend on that necessary task that most people tend to put off. And, as most online marketers know these days, having good content is key to attracting visitors and interest to your web site.

The software that was recommended to me is Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9. I ended up getting the "Standard" version as the version below that didn't have all the features I wanted, and the version above that added features I didn't need. I picked up the Standard version for just under $100 at my local office supply store, but that's becauase I was impatient and wanted to get started using it right away.

You can also order it from Amazon.com for just under $80: Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 - Standard

The software comes with a headset/mic to plug into your microphone port, but I use my USB headset.

Dictation software actually makes creating content fun!

It has been awhile since I've talked about building up the "you" brand, but I think it's time to re-emphasize it. With a growing number of marketers going to social networks to practice their trade, I have seen a lot of bad examples of what you should not do in those networks.

Let's look at some of this, shall we?

Stop Selling!

The main thing that people really ought to pay attention to is how they are coming across to other people. The first thing is stop selling. Imagine you're going to a cocktail party, and you know that you're going to meet some really interesting people in there. And you could probably have really good conversations with them. What is also going through your head is that you're a marketer and these people would be a great audience for your product.

Get that thought out of your head right now!

You go to a cocktail party to meet some friends and make new friends. And not just friends for the sake of marketing to them later. It's true that some of them may do business with you in the future, but you can't know that right now. The people you talk to may actually be a great fit for what you offer, but if you come across too strong that's going to turn them off immediately.

Get that thought out of your head right now!

It's true that some of them may do business with you in the future, but you can't know that right now. The people you talk to may actually be a great fit for what you offer, but if you come across too strong that's going to turn them off immediately.

Start Dating

One of my favorite analogies in marketing is the dating analogy. This analogy goes something along the lines of you being in the dating scene and looking for a husband or wife. You have a rough idea of the kind of person you'd like to marry. And, lo and behold, you see that person across the room at a party.

You smile at them, they smile at you, and you feel like there's a real match. You walk up to that person and the first words out of your mouth are "let's get married and have babies!" Unless there is something really wrong with that person they are going to run away from you as quickly as they can. But yet, most network marketers use this approach to finding new people for their business.

If you really are in the mindset of dating in order to find a good husband or wife, you'd go about it completely differently. Sure, you'd be attracted to people who matched up with your personality, interests, etc., but you would also take time to make sure you got to know them well. At some point you would have spent enough time with each other that it should become obvious that it's a natural match for you to get married.

The online social networks give you the opportunity to do just that with your business. By becoming involved with these networks as a true user and someone who is sharing their interests with other people, you become trusted and your opinion counts more with that audience.

The Trust Factor

From a pure marketing perspective, the best thing you can do is to build trust with your audience. The best way to build that trust is to really become a part of that audience. Relate to their problems and help them find solutions. If you do that you'll not only find good customers and business partners, but good friends.

When I was first introduced to uVme several months ago, I thought it was a perfect combination of business and product. I really enjoy playing games, whether online or off-line, and network marketing is something I've been doing for many years. So combining the two was just a great opportunity.

Now that we are finally into launch and half a chance to play the games, it seems like a dream come true. Here you get to play games and call it work!

I've been going in and trying out the games every day since the launch, playing some free games playing some with an entry fee, and seeing that more people are there each day. What's really enticing about it is that you can play any of the games for free for as long as you want. And when you're feeling confident enough, you can wage as little as one dollar and have the chance to make back $1.50.

This may not seem like much, but as your business grows, and you have dozens, hundreds, even thousands of people all playing games every day than it really begins to add up. And since these games only take a few minutes to play each, it's nice to take a little break from whatever else you're doing and bump up your skill a little bit.

So if you find yourself wanting to take a break for a few minutes sometime in the day had over to the uVme.com site and try the games. It won't cost you anything am sure you will have a bit of fun doing it. :-).

I had an enlightening conversation with a network marketing business colleague the other day. This is someone I've known for years and who originally taught me to prospect via telephone. He has a nice system for doing that, but it turned out to be just not my thing, and also not a thing for people who want to do Internet marketing combined with network marketing.

He was calling to ask me what I thought about a new MLM training course he had come across. This is kind of ironic, since I had told him about my experience in Internet marketing and network marketing as well as the trading course that I support here.

He Was Pretty Excited

Now my friend was pretty excited about the system. I can understand that as it is pretty exciting when you learn how to combine Internet marketing with network marketing. It opens up a whole new world of possibilities for you. He was learning about affiliate marketing, creating your own products, and learning how to create your own personality on the Internet for people to find. Of course, these are all things that I teach here and in the MLM training course I support.

I let them go on for quite awhile and he was me a lot of the things that I had told him previously, but he wasn't paying attention then apparently. When he finally wound down little, I tried to explain to him that we do the same thing in our course. But he would have none of it. And he would go on another tirade for several more minutes. I would try to contribute some of my experience and knowledge on the subject, but he would just completely ignore what I had said and go back on another tirade.

But He Didn't Want To Listen

I'm sure you've met people that, no matter how much you try to help, they just don't want to take your advice and system doing it their own way. I had kind of thought, this fella would be a little different, since he is on the leading edge in his own way, but that turned out not to be the case. He has been the expert is own area for so long, he is not open to accepting that someone else may have more experience and knowledge in an area that he does.

This isn't to say that I'm the mega-expert and know everything, but I am confident that I know more than this individual, because we stay in contact and I keep up with what he does. And I have definitely spent when more time, and had more success, in online marketing than he has.

It Will Just Slow Him Down

Is they sell a coming very by the situation, but I'm really not. This is a little frustrating that I can help someone who's going down a similar path, but they have no interest in being helped. When you start anything new, as he is doing, you're going to make mistakes. I made those mistakes. I can help guide him to success more quickly with the system.

Thinking more creatively, I could have helped them out on conference calls, we could have recorded audio sessions and do other collaboration. But this experience with this one phone call made it fairly clear to me he has no interest in collaboration. He wants to be the big cheese.

And that's fine, he can make his own mistakes and we'll see where we are this time next year.

This week, the uVme game system and business has finally gone live! Now not only can we promote our uVme business, but we can invite people to play games against us as well. From the feedback that I've seen, people are really having a good time with the games and so promoting the business should be a piece of cake.

At this point for those of us who've already signed up for the free membership, we need to contact our existing outlines and let them know that everything is gone live and that they could begin earning income right away.

The Product: Casual Online Games

One of the very important and attractive aspects of this business is the product. If you have seen any of the videos for uVme you can see that the online games market is large and getting larger all the time.

Why is that?

These things are just fun! Playing games online is a neat little break from the stresses and routine of the day. Games like these can give you a sense of satisfaction and some positive feedback in a day when that may be the only place you're getting some positive feedback.

An additional fun aspect of these games and how uVme is doing it. Is that you actually get to challenge other people to play against you. So it adds a social aspect to what used to be a solitary activity. And people are loving it!

The Business of Gaming

So with all these people in learning about online games and beginning to play online games, how do we get in the business of that? For business person, that's where it really starts to get interesting.

You see, the social aspect lends itself to challenging other people to games. Let's say I challenged Joe to play bubble trouble and we each put in a dollar. We play the game and Joe beats me. And let's say Joe wins $1.50. The other $.50 goes into the business person who sponsored the game between Joe and I. That may not seem like much, but when you multiply times the hundreds and thousands of people playing these games every day you can see that would begin to add up.

So building a business is as simple as introducing people to the games. As they play the games they may also be exposed to the business opportunity and want to become game sponsors themselves. That way they can sponsor people in to play games earn a commission, and you can earn a commission on that. And this is how your business is built and how you can generate income long-term and have fun doing it!

Is This Different?

A lot of people have reservations about network marketing. And I can understand where they're coming from. The traditional model of network marketing or MLM has been to get in front of as many people as you can and talk to them until your face turns blue.

That's where this is different.

uVme is utilizing the strength of the Internet to attract people who want to play games. The business is all online based and the system does the heavy lifting for you. So you don't have to worry about collecting credit card numbers, explain the business, etc. Your job boils down to just marketing, which is essentially playing games with other people.

So, would you like to play a game?

Things are happening so fast anymore it's difficult to keep up with. Six months ago the top internet marketers were saying there was no money to be made from spending time on social networks.

Now people are paying upwards of $1,500 for courses on how to market in social networks. What a difference a few months makes, eh?

The good news for network marketers is that the online world is starting to look a lot like the offline world when you start thinking about how we are able to build relationships, make friends, and find new business partners. Marketing in the online social space is a lot like working in the offline world. You build your reputation and people get to know you. If you are too blantant that you are trying sell people stuff, then you will turn off just about anyone you come in contact with. Just like it happens in the offline world.

If you have been following an mlm training system, it likely does not go into a lot of detail on how to navigate these networks. It's not because those marketing systems are bad, it's just that it takes time for the trainers to learn it, and then translate it into something they can teach. And I can tell you from experience there are a lot of people doing it wrong.

What is "wrong"?

It's the kind of thing I mentioned above. There are people I know in these online spaces who are network marketers, and all they talk about is their business and how to make money. Now I'm pretty sure there's more to thier lives than that (at least I hope so), but you wouldn't know it from how they portray themselves. There is something to be gained from being a friend of other marketers, but just being continuously in promotion mode is a turnoff for me and probably for their prospects.

I'm actually more interested in what kind of person they are. What do they like to do when they're not working on their business. Over time I can get a more complete picture of who they are, and maybe I will want to do business with them.

Sounds a lot like how you would approach this in an offline setting, doesn't it?

So if you're going to play in the social marketing space, don't poison the well for yourself because there really are people out there using these networks and they will remember you - it's up to you whether that's a good memory or a bad one.

How much "work" did you do last weekend? How much will you do next weekend? How many hours are you working each day?

If you're like many Internet Marketers and business owners you're working incredibly full days and you're even squeezing in work time on the weekends. Is it working for you? Why did you get into Internet Marketing or owning your own business? The answer for many is to be able to make money while still having time to do the things we love, whether it is fishing, volunteering at your children's school, or just having time to spend time with and take care of your family. It's one of the reasons I started my own business.

What I found is I now work 60+ hours a week taking care of the business of doing business. Borrowing from Michael Gerber's great book, the E-Myth, as an Internet marketer you're an Entrepreneur, a Technician and a Manager. You're doing it all. You're probably throwing away money because you're too busy to focus on the key tasks that bring in more profits.

This year, I've decided I'm not doing it all. I'm asking for help. I'm automating as much as I can and I'm outsourcing the tasks that make sense to outsource. Of course what makes sense to outsource to me may not make sense to outsource to you.

Some things you might consider outsourcing:

Email

Bookkeeping

Research

Customer Service

Website development and maintenance

Affiliate management

Transcription and other administrative tasks

Writing/copywriting

I'm a writer by trade so outsourcing my content doesn't make sense for me yet it makes sense for a large number of Internet Marketers simply because it is time consuming. For example, let's say your hourly value is $50/hour. That's the number of hours you worked last month divided by your net profits. Chances are that hourly rate is driven by a few key activities.

For example, if you're selling information then a tremendous amount of your profits are generated by marketing your products and developing your sales funnel. If it takes 40+ hours to create an information product, that's worth $2000. Your time might be better spent working as a marketer rather than a writer since you can have your products created for much less than $50/hour, or $2000, by hiring a ghostwriter.

When you outsource the tasks that don't directly affect your profits, you can then focus your time and energy on doing the tasks that bring money in. Administrative tasks are a really good place to start when you're exploring outsourcing and prioritizing your time.

So what are you going to outsource this year? How are you going to make time to be an entrepreneur, technician, and manager, and still have time to spend doing the things you love? How are you going to make sure you don't have to work on the weekend? How are you going to build your business and focus on the tasks that actually make you money?

If you're interested in outsourcing writing, research, editing/proofreading, or transcription, visit www.allcustomcontent.com.

As we get closer to the official launch of uVme, I just keep getting more amazed at well things are going with so little input from myself. Not that I would be affecting the success of the overall endeavor, but the growth happening in my own business group.

In fact, at first I did promote the uVme business strongly using the methods in my MLM training course because I was at a point in my business cycle where I had some time to focus on it. Through those efforts there were about a hundred people that joined my group. Out of those, perhaps a dozen continued to work on bringing new members in. Since there is no cost to join and promote the business (at least until the launch in January) it's pretty easy to introduce new people.

Then a couple of months ago the thing happened that we all like to see in our businesses - explosive growth!

It turns out that my earlier business building efforts reached into Thailand where dozens of people are joining my group each week. And that is the power of having a business that works globally. I've been in network marketing businesses where you need to ship a physical product and you always end up with a problem when you want to expand outside of your home country. Plus you have the expenses associated with shipping physical product and handling any returns.

With uVme there are none of those hassle because the product is entirely online. The product (the games) are turning out to be hugely popular and successful as reported by the beta testers. This is a business model that is easy to get behind and promote, so I'm going to enjoy seeing the efforts of all the people in my downline get rewarded as people both come in to play games or come along to join the business.

If you have not been introduced to uVme yet, check out this uVme intro video for an explanation on how it works.

I've been spending quite a bit of time in the social networks and helping a close group of marketers with site promotion. One of the tools we have been using is called TaggZilla. It's not the most intuitive creature to use, but when it is used properly, can help get exposure for your websites and your business to your target market.

To try and help clarify some right (and wrong) ways to go about using this tool, I put together some "how to" videos. Initially this was just going to be for our own little group, but thought other people would find this useful, even if you're not using TaggZilla. The first two videos (parts 1 and 2) will reveal some powerful methods for getting your own site into the social circles.

Of course it helps to have a few friends to help the process along, which is what TaggZilla is designed to do. So the next videos (submission - parts 1 and 2) show how to properly use the TaggZilla submission process.
