About This Project

The concept behind TheCompleteMarketer.com is to show that network marketers are not one-dimensional people whose sole focus is to try and get people to join their business.

Network marketing is a vehicle for people to use that can help achieve dreams and lifestyle goals that are simply not possible most of the time when you are working for someone else as an employee. Also, it provides a framework around which you can develop a real business where you are selling real, valuable products and services to others.

Having a strong business may start out as the goal for many people, but I would argue that is what contributes to the high failure rate not only in network marketing business, but in most businesses, especially on the internet. When you have spent enough time working in an entrepreneurial spirit you find that the process is much more rewarding than reaching any sort of goal placed out there.

This is especially true for network marketing.

Financial and other goals are important in that they give you something to work towards, but the process of building a strong business in the network marketing model hinges on the ability to help other people. Success becomes less a measure of how much money you are making and more a measure of how much money you are helping other people to make. That, to me, is a truer measure of success.

A Ticket to Ride

Because of my interest in marketing on the internet, I have studied under some of the masters and have learned things that only a small circle of people in the world understand. The arcane functioning of search engines, the ins and outs of running a profitable store on the internet, and a lot of other "insider knowledge" has been at my disposal for some time.

Out of the many things I've see and done, the only business model that I've found either on the internet or away from it that has the process of helping other people succeed beyond your own success built-in is in network marketing.

This is why I have come back to this after honing my internet marketing skills in some of the other business models mentioned above. I want to share this knowledge and these skills.

However, "TheCompleteMarketer.com" is not geared towards teaching general concepts around internet marketing. This site is geared towards making a connection with people like myself who like working to help others and understand that success is a journey - not a destination.

When specific questions come up about network marketing, or any other topic (we are being complete after all ), I will do my best to give a complete answer and give resources that will help give other perspectives.

What's the point?

I propose that a "complete" marketer would be one who understands the dynamic between running a business and having a life outside of that. Having a profitable business is not the end in itself, it is a means to an end. My interests include cycling, engineering, gadgets, raising my son, gaming, spending time with friends, improving health through nutrition, marketing and other interests that I periodically get to spend time with.

Because of my commitment to bringing value to others, I am able to pursue choices and help other people in ways that would simply be unavailable if I were to work as an employee punching a clock or filling in a timesheet.

How does this benefit you?

So in the course of building a network marketing business using the internet, I'm able to meet many different kinds of people from different parts of the world and different backgrounds than mine. While it's deeply interesting to learn about other people and their backgrounds, I find that most people don't think they are intersting enough to talk about.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Yes, many of us have similar experiences. We never have enough time to do what we want, some part of our family is disfunctional, we can all use more money, etc. It's this shared experience that makes the internet a great place to interact and meet new people. If I do my job properly, then maybe I can help them find a little more connection to other people and work together to get a little more of what they really want out of life.

So I head down this road and take in the sights along the way. Some join me, which is great as traveling in a crowd is more fun. ;) Others stand at the side of road and say "you'll never make it". I just wave and smile as I go by. Still others will come for a little ways and settle down where they feel is "right". I'm going for the long haul.

All the best,

Roger Hutchison
