Patio Chair Cushions - How They Push Business

Believe it or not, patio chair cushions can really help the bottom line for a business. And you can even use an analogy to how well chosen cushions can give you a leg up.

This may not be the strongest analogy in the world, but let's give it a shot…

When you go to an outdoor cafe or even some indoor restaurants, you sometimes think you are being tortured as customer. Why is that? Because the chairs are so darn uncomfortable!

Either the food should be really good, or you have to wonder if you will ever go back there again.

It's all about user experience. If a restaurant has comfy chairs, you are more inclined to stay longer, order a few more drinks, and maybe have some dessert. If they have lousy seating, you're more likely to eat and get out of there as quick as you can, maybe to never go back.

Personally, I've had this experience more with outdoor seating where they use those wire frame chairs that have no padding on them. Now, if the restaurant owner had just added some nice cushions he could not only have added some class by coordinating them with the rest of the restaurant style, but had customers stay, spend more money, and looking forward to returning.

This is where we try to make the analogy…

Do you have comfy cushions in your business?

Yes, I know most readers are in business online - and no, I have not lost my mind.

Think of it this way - do visitors to your site want to get away as quickly as they can, or are they more inclined to stick around a while. Maybe they want to look again at the menu (your products or services) because it just looks so nice.

And it's just so pleasant to navigate. They might even just bookmark your site because they enjoyed the experience so much.

See the connection?

It's about providing a pleasant experience for the customer. In the restaurant part of the positive experience is having nice patio chair cushions. In an online business, it's about having simple navigation and providing what your vistior was looking for when they clicked on the link to your site.

So, does this analogy work for you? Let me know by leaving a comment!
