I have to admit it: I'm an internet marketing junkie.

When a sales letter comes across my desk or into my email, I study it to see what techniques the author (copywriter) uses. When new marketing methods and techniques roll out, I keep an eye on them to see if they provide true value. It takes experience and a keen eye to see the true diamonds out there.

This weekend I started looking at a system that I have special access to through one of my coaching programs.

It looks pretty darn cool.

I really can't talk too much here here about how it works, but some of the fundamentals around this whole event are worth sharing.

First of all, really become a student of marketing. It's great to know a lot about your product or your company, but if you can't get the message out then you can't help as many people. For example, I know a lot more than most people about nutritional supplements and the best ways to maximize my company's compensation plan - but I've found that most people don't even really care about that.

Which was a serious bummer when I realized it.

What people do care about is that you can help them with their problem. The thing to get good at is showing how you or your product can help with all kinds of problems espicially theirs. This is where the relationship building and "branding" efforts come into play. When people know you and know what you stand for, they will trust your recommendations over someone they don't know.

So when it comes to marketing, I chose to become a student of people who are among the best in their fields. This does not come cheap, but in addition to the training and coaching I receive from them, I also get access to exclusive materials when they come available. This is what happened recently and what I reffered to earlier as the course that "looks pretty darn cool". This is a course that has made millions for its authors and has sold previously for several thousand dollars. In this case, I get access to it as part of my normal fees associated with the coaching program.

This isn't to boast, but it's to show that you always have something to learn and you never know where new opportunities might come from. Since I'm focused on providing MLM training and helping people to work their network marketing business on the internet, I pay attention to anything that will further that goal.
