Getting Noticed With Your Business
I just spent about 45 minutes looking for another good blog focused on network marketing online. This was using the Technorati blog search, applying various filters and poking through content.
It's amazing how much junk there is on the internet. I'm glad we don't have to make landfill space for it!
The downside of this is that it's a challenge to find other leaders with [tag-tec]internet network marketing[/tag-tec] skills to collaborate and share ideas with. The upside (and it can be a big upside) is that you can take advantage of this void by providing real help and guidance to other marketers. Be yourself, let your personality come through, and people like yourself will naturally gravitate to you. Conversely, what happens if you produce junk?
Well, like seems to attract like. So if you produce junk what do you think results will be? For one thing, serious marketers like myself will not be interested in working with you to develop a business relationship. Why is this important? Because even though it's possible to build an online presence (and a business around that) on your own it goes much faster (and is a lot more fun) when you have people that you can trust and work with.
Today's search was frustrating in part because in previous searches like this I did find a couple of people that I'm starting to work with. They have similar approaches to mine and I know they produce their own content. Over time we may have the opportunity to work on projects together and that's good news for everyone involved!
The frustrating part is that there are so few good marketers online in the network marketing industry. Which, not coincidentally, is why I promote a course for [tag-tec]internet network marketing training[/tag-tec] (which you can learn more about by following this link). I want people to take this course whether they join me in my [tag-tec]network marketing[/tag-tec] company or not. Just having more people online who know what they are doing is going to help everyone in the industry.
I don't want this to just be a rant, so here is one big tip:
Be Yourself!
That's been mentioned in this blog a lot, but it seems to be one think missing from a lot of online messages. Too many people trying to be something they're not, and just regurgitating information without any real understanding or interpretation. Even if a person does not fully understand a concept, they should at least make an attempt to share their interpretation. This is actually a great way to get people to comment on your blog and create more of a dialog. This creates more of what "you" are on the internet and is part of the "branding" concept.
Having people comment on your blog posts is important in several respects. One is that it creates more content for your site, which is good for the search engines. They like to see new content and can help improve the ranking of your site in the search engines. The other big point of having comments on your site is you get to see what people want to see more of, or you may even get more understanding of a concept by others. This all helps build community which is an integral part of the "blogosphere".
Asking questions in your blog or even admitting that you would like to see clarfication on a topic helps you to stand out from the crowd. You become more approachable, which opens up the possibilities for collaboration with others in your field.
