Business Growth Through Consistency
One of the big criticisms people get when starting their own business is friends and family reminding them how large the failure rate is with people who start businesses. For some reason the people who are supposed to be close to you and supportive are the first ones to bring try and stop you from even getting off the ground. They are well meaning, of course. They've probably seen the statistics, heard the stories and maybe have even known some other people who "tried", gave up, and went back to their daily existence and few hundred (or a few thousand) dollars poorer.
There is some truth in what they are trying to save you from. There is a very high failure rate in people who start businesses, whether it's online or offline. I attribute at least part of this failure rate to the expectation of generating real wealth in a short period of time. While it's good to put a positive expectation out there. the problem comes when people give up when they don't reach their goals in a few months or even a few weeks.
Unfortunately these kinds of expectations can be set up by other leaders in your business.
If you want to start a store on the internet, you might hear about how simple it is to get started and how many millions so-and-so is making every year. With that mind a lot of people will go out to spend a lot of time or money (or both) to get an eCommerce site designed and populated with a product line that is supposed to be a great seller. A few weeks later when there aren't many sales the typical reaction is to start doubting the process and the viability of the business model. After a few more weeks there might be more sales, but the bank isn't exactly calling to congratulate on filling their vault. It's somewhere around this point that the typical person will give up, shut down and either sell the site or let it stagnate.
This is one source for the high failure rate in business. It's great to have high expectations, but the gratification is going to come over time and consistently applied effort. If the person running the eCommerce store was taking the steps necessary for long term promotion and growth, then the income would likely start rolling in after several months of this consistency.
The numbers in failure rate of business seem to be applied even more so to [tag-tec]network marketing[/tag-tec] than to other businesses. This have given network marketing (or multi-level marketing [MLM]) a less than stellar repuation in some circles. Even internet marketers don't really like to go near the concept.
That's really too bad for them. Especially since many of the more successful internet marketers are doing a limited form of network marketing. They're making their money through [tag-tec]affiliate programs[/tag-tec], which is just a way of making money by selling other people's stuff. Similar kinds of advantages are found in [tag-tec]affiliate marketing[/tag-tec] as in network marketing - features such as not having to stock and ship product, collect payments, etc - but the affiliate marketer limits themselves by only earning on their own efforts. Some affiliate programs will allow comissions to be earned up to one level deep (they make comissions on affiliates they've introduced to the product), but that's as far as it goes.
Back to the theme of steady effort to win the race, even affiliate marketers don't make their money overnight. It may look that way, but they spend months building a relationship with potential customers before they can reliably generate income from offering them products they find useful.
Extending this to network marketing, it takes time to build relationships and find the right people to work with in your business. A good network marketing company will have products that can be sold at a profit whether or not anyone actually joins your business. Sometimes it can be difficult to market these products, though, due to restrictions placed by the parent company.
One way to have a consistent message to deliver to your prospects, is to offer a tool that will work for them even if they already have a business or company they are working with. Everyone is always looking for more people who are looking for something better in life and this training course for network marketing on the internet has a ton of useful, actionable information. Even the free parts of it are better than what most uplines teach in their business.
